Foxes On The Brink As DJ Arrested

24 April 2010 11:59
DJ Campbell was yesterday arrested over a nightclub stabbing but has since been released on bail on a day when City can secure their play off place. The 28-year-old striker, on loan at play off rivals Blackpool, was led away by police at their training ground yesterday and taken to London for questioning. However, he is likely to play some part in Blackpool's trip to relegated Peterborough. The result at London Road could prove irrelevant though, because if the Foxes produce an away win at Preston today, the play off party can well and truly begin. Steve Howard starts his three match ban today after being dismissed in last weeks impressive 4-1 win at home to QPR. James Vaughan is expected to make his first start for Leicester, partnering top goal scorer Martyn Waghorn in attack. For all the complaining amongst the Foxes faithful about DJ Campbell's contribution to Blackpool's play off push, it is the Foxes who will be relying on their loan stars to secure a crucial play off place at Deepdale this afternoon.
