Duo net on debut in Foxes win
Sunderland loanee Waghorn and N'Guessan were introduced by manager Nigel Pearson with the Foxes trailing to Ashley Williams' header, but both scored in a three-minute spell to turn the game on its head.
Until then, the Swans had looked like clinging on to the win to end their opening-day hoodoo - they have now lost their first game in the past four seasons - especially when goalkeeper Dorus de Vries saved a Steve Howard penalty.
Leicester looked bright in possession early on, with summer signing Richie Wellens quickly impressing the home faithful in the heart of midfield - but it was Swansea who took the lead with 15 minutes from the clock.
Mark Gower saw his shot deflected wide by Matty Fryatt and strolled over to take the resulting corner, which he delivered perfectly for the unmarked Williams to power home a header from six yards out.
The Swans lost Joe Allen to injury soon after, paving the way for Jordi Lopez to come on and make his debut for the Welsh outfit.
Chances were at a premium for the rest of the first half, though, with a blocked shot from Fryatt the closest the Foxes came to mustering a leveller.
Fryatt and Andy King went off at the break to be replaced by debutants N'Guessan and Waghorn, and the impetus was quickly with the Foxes.
N'Guessan, who arrived from Lincoln this summer, was at the heart of it all and he had a shot blocked before firing wide.
And the Frenchman then found Howard in the middle after a typically bustling run down the right, and the big frontman teed up Matt Oakley, but he mis-hit his shot.
However, the Foxes kept up the pressure and when Bruno Berner burst into the box and was brought down by Williams, referee Grant Hegley pointed to the spot, but de Vries dived superbly to his left to keep out Howard's kick.
De Vries then denied Waghorn's effort from Oakley's corner, before Howard scooped an effort over the top after receiving another ball from the lively N'Guessan and breaking through two defenders.
But the goal finally came midway through the second half when Lloyd Dyer broke down the left and squared for Waghorn, whose shot flicked off Garry Monk on its way in.
And the Foxes completed the turnaround just three minutes later when Oakley's corner was knocked back across goal by Howard for N'Guessan to net.
N'Guessan almost created another for Howard but he headed over the top, before the impressive N'Guessan thumped the crossbar with a header of his own from Nicky Adams' cross.
The Foxes continued to carve out chances but could not take one - and they were almost made to pay in stoppage time when Lopez whistled a shot just inches past the post.
