Claridge hopes Foxes get lucky

Matty Fryatt fired 32 goals as the Foxes secured an instant return to the second-tier last season, but manager Nigel Pearson has been linked with a number of forwards after pledging to boost his strikeforce over the summer. Claridge told the Leicester Mercury: "They definitely need more back-up in attack, but it is the hardest position to fill. "Simon Cox and Scunthorpe's Gary Hooper are decent players. The best part of their game is scoring goals. "But there remains a question mark about how good their all-round game is. They are players similar to Matty Fryatt, in that they have proved they can score goals at League One level. Now they have to prove they can do it at a higher level. "Whenever a club brings in a striker there is always a risk element to it."
