City Sign Vaughan

The Foxes have completed the loan signing of striker James Vaughan from Everton. Pearson's capture of Vaughan will please the Foxes fans, as the young striker could become a useful replacement for the injured Matty Fryatt, who is expected to miss the rest of the season. The deal keeps Vaughan at the Walkers Stadium for a month, but the Foxes have the option of extending the deal until the end of the season. Several other clubs declared an interest in the forward, including Derby County who had the player on loan earlier this season, only for him to return to Goodison Park after two matches due to injury. Talking of the signing, Milan Mandaric said: 'I have always said I will support Nigel, and a signing like this signals our intentions as we try to move the club forward. 'Hopefully signing James will show the club's ambition and that we are trying to move in the right direction.' he added. Vaughan could make his debut when Cardiff City visit the Walkers Stadium this Saturday in what promises to be a fiercely contested play-off six pointer.
