City Set To Sign Spearing
Leicester City are close to completing the loan signing of Liverpool youngster Jay Spearing. The promising defensive midfielder is set to sign for the Foxes tomorrow morning after both teams have agreed terms. Spearing, who has been tipped to become a major star at Anfield could make an instant impact at the Walkers Stadium where he is expected to feature for City against Reading on Wednesday. The 21-year-old made his first team debut for Liverpool in December 2008 against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League and also made an appearance in the Reds emphatic 4-0 Champions League win over Real Madrid in the same season. However, competition for first team action has been fierce at Anfield and Spearing has remained in the reserves where he is Vice Captain.
