Boss relieved to avoid banana skin

Leaders Leicester stretched their unbeaten League One run to 23 games as they continued their charge back to the Championship. "I'm very pleased with the result because the last four games have been a little frustrating so to get the home win makes it a good day all round," said Pearson. "It was one of those games where we had to make sure we accomplished all the right things and turned our territorial advantage into goals. It was top versus bottom, potentially the worst kind of banana skin." Despite Leicester's comfortable lead at the top of the table Pearson does not believe that promotion is guaranteed. He added: "We are still some distance away from achieving our goal of promotion. We may be in a strong position but we now have to concentrate on two very tough away games at Tranmere and Millwall."
