Black Cats pounce on Foxes

Fraizer Campbell continued his pre-season goalscoring spree to help Sunderland secure a narrow 2-1 victory over Leicester at the Walkers Stadium. Campbell presented another convincing case for his inclusion as a strike partner for Darren Bent this season when his close-range finish from Jordan Henderson's throughball gave the Black Cats the lead after only six minutes. But the Championship club were level 10 minutes later when Matty Fryatt slid a well-weighted pass behind the Sunderland defence and Andy King lifted his shot over the advancing goalkeeper. In the second half Henderson's low strike was fumbled horribly into his own net by home keeper Chris Weale to give Steve Bruce's side victory.
