Adams aims to nail down place

Leicester midfielder Nicky Adams wants to revitalise his career at the Walkers Stadium under new boss Paulo Sousa. The 23-year-old has struggled to secure a regular first-team berth since joining from Bury in 2008, and previous manager Nigel Pearson was willing to let him move on. Adams only started once for Leicester last season and spent time on loan at Leyton Orient, but he wants to fight for his place under Sousa. "If he (Sousa) is going to give me a chance, I want to stay - for now that's the right decision," Adams told BBC Radio Leicester. There were a few clubs interested in me and I think there were a couple of bids accepted by the club. But the old gaffer went and a new manager came in so I decided to stay and see what he had to say. "My time here has been frustrating but hopefully I will get a chance under the new boss."
