Wise wins second award

Leeds United boss Dennis Wise has been named League One manager of the month for the second successive time. The Elland Road club have responded to their 15-point pre-campaign penalty for going into administration and are yet to be beaten in the league so far this season. Leeds were only denied a fifth consecutive victory during September following a 1-1 draw with Gillingham last Saturday. The late equaliser at the Priestfield also ended the West Yorkshire club's 100 per cent start to the new season. However, after taking the opportunity to hit out at the Football League following the award of last month's accolade, Wise was more gracious this time around. "We're all a group," he told the club's official website. "It's not just staff, players and fans. Everyone involved with this club - we're all in this together." Wise won the award ahead of Southend United's Steve Tilson, Martin Ling of Leyton Orient and Nottingham Forest boss Colin Calderwood.
