Leeds United manager Dennis Wise fears that he will be without Alan Thompson for at least two weeks after the former Celtic man suffered a hamstring injury in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Leyton Orient.
The 33-year-old sustained the problem early in the second half at Elland Road and looks set to spend another spell on the sidelines.
The O's clash was only Thompson's sixth League One start of the season and Wise told United's official website: "It looks like a torn hamstring, but we'll assess it and have a look at it.
"It was a blow to lose him because you want someone who is calm on the ball.
"We got a bit carried away by the whole situation on Saturday and it caused us problems.
"It could be a while - I'm sure it'll be a couple if weeks - but we don't know as yet."
