New deals for Leeds four

Leeds United have handed new contracts to four highly-rated Elland Road prospects.

Jonathan Howson has been handed a three-year deal, while Robert Bayly, Ben Parker and Scott Gardner have all put pen to paper on two-year contracts.

Howson, 19, broke into the first team last season and made six appearances.

Meanwhile, Leeds boss Dennis Wise has hit out at the Football League for the decision to put referee Nigel Miller in charge of their game against Leyton Orient on Saturday.

Wise was sent to the stands by Miller during a 1-1 draw with Southend last season and later fined by the Football Association.
