Leeds United boss Gary McAllister has urged his side to show more ruthlessness in front of goal, following a dismal 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Cheltenham Town.

The loss left the Whites still outside the play-off places in League One, with McAllister concerned by his side's poor finishing.

He told the Yorkshire Post: "It was a night of frustration. In the final third we lacked touch, guile and assurance.

"We were sloppy at that end of the park and that was our downfall. We've got to take more pride and care in the final third.

"Against a team in the bottom six it's hugely disappointing, but we must remain together."

Meanwhile, veteran Norwegian striker Tore Andre Flo has left Elland Road after deciding to retire from the game altogether.
