Leeds United manager Gary McAllister still believes the play-offs are a realistic goal despite losing more ground with Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest.
The Elland Road club's early-season momentum has stalled in recent weeks and McAllister has now drawn two and lost one of the games in his brief three-match tenure.
However, despite their recent League One struggles, new-boss McAllister is refusing to give up on a top-six place this season.
After the Forest stalemate, he said "It's another two points slipped away.
"But there's still a lot of points to play for and still lots up for grabs. That carrot there is massive.
"We need to go to Doncaster (on Saturday) and win. Those two points we dropped at home we've got to try and get them back away from home."
