Loanee Duo Return Back To Clubs

Published: 03 Jan 2012 - 18:19:54

Leeds United have released striker Andy Keogh back to Wolves and keeper Alex McCarthy is returning to Reading at the end of his second month on loan.

Grayson confirmed that United are looking to extend the contract held by 40-year-old keeper Maik Taylor, who signed a short-term deal in November.

But Grayson, whose side do not play again until their FA Cup tie at Arsenal in six days’ time, has major defensive problems after losing Patrick Kisnorbo to a knee injury.

The centre-back limped off in the 16th minute against Burnley and Alex Bruce is struggling with a hamstring strain picked up during yesterday’s game.

Leigh Bromby has a calf strain and concussion ruled Tom Lees out of the meeting with Burnley.
