Leeds United have released Filipe da Costa after agreeing to mutually terminate the contract of the Portuguese midfielder.
Da Costa, 23, made seven appearances after joining the Elland Road club last summer on a free transfer.
Meanwhile, on-loan striker Dougie Freedman is relishing the prospect of taking part in his first Yorkshire derby against Huddersfield Town on Tuesday.
Freedman took his tally to four goals in eight games for the club after scoring twice in Saturday's 3-2 win over Carlisle United.
"It's my first Yorkshire derby, but every game we go in to we want three points and we'll battle for three points," he told the club's official website.
"I came to Leeds for games like this."
