Leeds United boss Gary McAllister has welcomed Fabian Delph's first call-up to the England Under-21 squad.
The 18-year-old has been included in the squad for the friendly with the Czech Republic at Bramall Lane next Tuesday and McAllister is delighted for the youngster, despite the game coming just 24 hours after an FA Cup replay against Northampton Town.
"International football is the ultimate and getting picked for the England Under-21s is a big step," he told the club's official website.
"We're all really pleased for him. It's a great credit. We want him to go and enjoy the experience.
"(Coach) Stuart (Pearce) appreciates how important the FA Cup tie is to us, so Fabian will be with us and then join up with England after that.
"We'll get him back on the road after the Northampton game and he will join up with England then."
