Former Cheltenham Town goalkeeper Shane Higgs has signed a new one-year contract with Leeds United.
The 32-year-old shot-stopper, who spent more than a decade at Whaddon Road before joining United in July, has started ten League One games for Simon Grayson's side so far this season.
Grayson said: "We're delighted to have Shane for another year. He's done well since he came in, and it's good to have that competition with Casper Ankergren.
"Shane did well in pre-season, got his opportunity and took it with some good performances and some good saves.
"He's out at the moment, but is making good progress. Casper's come in and he's done well and I'm pleased with the competition we have there because we have two good goalkeepers."
