Grayson clinches double deal

Leeds United wrapped up the signings of defender Leigh Bromby and striker David Somma on transfer deadline day.

Twenty-nine-year-old Bromby joins from Sheffield United for an undisclosed fee, having signed a four-year contract at Elland Road.

He told his new club's official website: "I'm delighted to be here. It happened pretty quickly, but there was no decision to make really once I knew Leeds were interested.

"I hope I can bring some experience and competition for places because that's what you need."

Meanwhile, Somma has signed a one-year deal after impressing while on trial with the Whites.

Boss Simon Grayson added: "He has done very well in pre-season and has caught the eye both in training and in games.

"He has done enough to earn himself a contract and we'll see how he goes from here."
