FA charges over striker deal

Bristol City have revealed their "disappointment" after they, striker Enoch Showunmi and agent Charles Collymore were charged with misconduct by the Football Association.
The charges relate to Showunmi's move from Luton Town in 2006 in which it is alleged the Robins dealt with an unlicensed agent and broke FA rules by paying £30,000 to a third party.
However, the Championship leaders have issued a statement in which they have strongly denied the allegations.
"Bristol City Football Club has acted in good faith throughout and cooperated voluntarily with the FA at all times," it read.
"The club is very disappointed by their decision to bring these charges and denies the allegations strenuously."
The FA claim City broke rules governing player transfers by paying licensed agent Collymore for the deal when they knew some or all the money was going to an unlicensed operator.
