Elding joins Leeds ranks

Leeds United have continued a busy transfer deadline day with the capture of Anthony Elding from Stockport County.

The 25-year-old striker has joined the League One club for an undisclosed fee after just one year with the Hatters.

Elding arrived at Edgeley Park in a £55,000 deal from Boston United in January 2006.

He scored 26 goals during 45 appearances for the League Two club, including 15 this season.

Newly-installed Leeds United manager Gary McAllister has already signed Leicester defender Alan Sheehan on loan, Lubo Michalik from Bolton on a permanent deal and Darren Kenton on a busy deadline day.
