Cress eyes Leeds return
06 Feb 2007 - 10:35:27
Leeds United are set to be handed a boost in their battle to avoid relegation with the return of striker Richard Cresswell.
The 29-year-old has made only seven Championship appearances during an injury-ravaged campaign.
But with Tore Andre Flo and David Healy both sidelined through injury, Cresswell is poised to resume training in a timely boost for the Championship's bottom club.
"Hopefully Cressy will be training in a week or so," Leeds boss Dennis Wise told the club's official website.
"Cress is the sort of player who will go through the pain barrier for you. He wants to come back and help.
"That is a fantastic attitude, but the last thing I want to do is set him back. I only want players to come back when they are properly ready to go.
"His body might have been telling him something his mind wasn't, but he is busting a gut to get back."
