Connolly ready for tough Bury test

New Leeds United signing Paul Connolly is expecting a tough workout when the Championship outfit take on Bury in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday.

Following their tour of Slovakia, Simon Grayson's side have returned to England ahead of their league opener against Derby County and Connolly is bracing himself for a difficult task at Gigg Lane.

Speaking to the club's official website, he said: "They'll close us down and be a bit more up and at 'em I would expect.

"There'll be a few more tackles and it'll be a bit more aggressive than the games were last week.

"It's a big game for them as it for us, but we have to keep doing what we've been doing and keep building our confidence."
