Clapham set for Leeds switch

Leeds United have agreed a deal with Wolverhampton Wanderers to take transfer-listed left-back Jamie Clapham on loan. The 31-year-old defender has been given permission to join the League One club after being told he is surplus to requirements at Molineux. However, the former Ipswich Town and Birmingham City player is not expected to officially join the West Yorkshire club until next week. "It looks like he'll be going initially for a month," Wolves manager Mick McCarthy told the club's official website. "Jamie has been on the list here since the end of last season and Leeds have come in for him." Clapham made a rare appearance for the Midlands club during their 2-1 Carling Cup first round victory over Bradford City in midweek.
