Christie handed United terms

Leeds United have handed former Derby County and Middlesbrough striker Malcolm Christie non-contract terms at Elland Road. The 29-year-old made his debut for the club in Monday's FA Cup first round replay victory at Northampton Town. Christie has spent the last two weeks on trial with the League One side and impressed United boss Gary McAllister enough to be awarded terms. The former England Under-21 international has been out of the game for over a year following his release by Middlesbrough in September 2007.
