Leeds United's caretaker boss John Carver has strengthened his struggling squad by snapping up the Middlesbrough teenager Adam Johnson on a month-long loan deal.
The 19-year-old midfielder has made 23 first-team appearances for Boro, including a start in this season's goalless draw at Bolton Wanderers in the Premiership.
Carver, who worked with the player when Johnson was a schoolboy at Newcastle United, told Leeds' official website: "I've seen a lot of him at Middlesbrough and followed his progress as a player. He's made a few senior appearances so he's got some experience.
"He's a young lad, a left-sided player, and I'm looking forward to working with him."
