Leeds United are close to snapping up Wolves striker Jay Bothroyd after agreeing a transfer fee with the Championship side for the 26-year-old former Charlton Athletic and Coventry City player.
Bothroyd played for Coventry when current Leeds boss Gary McAllister was the Sky Blues manager.
The striker spent a month on loan at Stoke City last term and has not featured in Wolves boss Mick McCarthy's first-team plans during pre-season.
McAllister has already signed Enoch Showunmi this summer as he looks to add to his attacking options at Elland Road.
