Blake deal agreed

Robbie Blake is poised to join Leeds United after Birmingham City accepted an undisclosed offer for the striker.

Blake has started only two Premiership games since joining the Blues from Burnley in a £1.25million deal in January, but they were enough to convince boss Steve Bruce that the 29-year-old would not be a regular when the new season gets underway.

However, Leeds manager Kevin Blackwell is convinced the ex-Darlington and Bradford City man will impress at Elland Road.

"He will offer us something different in attack and I am really delighted," Blackwell told the club's official website.

Blake, who has scored a career total of 106 league goals in 363 matches, is expected to sign for Leeds as soon as he can finalise the terms of his pay-off from Birmingham.
