Sven-Goran Eriksson has revealed that Portuguese defender Miguel Vitor is keen to extend his stay at Leicester. The 21-year-old was signed on loan from Benfica by former City boss Paulo Sousa last summer. Eriksson, who is keen to keep all six of his current loan signings ahead of next season, says the centre-back has voiced his desire to remain at the Walkers Stadium. "I don't know if Benfica want to take him back but Rui Costa (Benfica director of football) is one of my contacts in my phone to call," Eriksson told the Leicester Mercury. "But I know Miguel wants to stay if Benfica don't take him back. "What he said, which was very nice, was that the biggest surprise was how good the football was for a second division. He said it was fantastic. "The qualities of the teams are very high and it is very competitive. It is good. Vitor has learned a lot this season and has really enjoyed himself."
