Sulley lands Leeds Academy role

Leeds have appointed former Bolton coach Chris Sulley as their new Academy manager.

The 51-year-old led the youth set-up at Bolton for eight years before leaving his post at the Reebok Stadium in 2008. Sulley has also worked for the Premier League and the Football Association and held coaching roles at Preston and Blackburn.

Leeds technical director Gwyn Williams told the club`s official website: "We are delighted to welcome Chris to Leeds United.

"He has an excellent pedigree of working with young players and developing them for a career in the professional game and we are looking forward to him bringing that knowledge and experience to the club.

"We interviewed a number of potential candidates for the post and we were very impressed with the standard of people who wanted to come here. We hope Chris will prove to be a successful appointment for the future of the academy."
