Somma return a boost for Whites

Leeds striker Davide Somma will return to contention for his first league appearance for the club against Millwall next Saturday. Somma, who has made only one appearance for Leeds since arriving in October last year - in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy - has completed a three-game ban after being sent off for Lincoln on the final day of last season. Manager Simon Grayson has confirmed Somma, who had played in America before arriving at Leeds in October 2009, will not be loaned out again this season after he scored nine goals in 14 appearances for the Imps. Somma's availability will give Grayson extra attacking options. Summer signing Billy Paynter is sidelined with a shin injury and Robert Snodgrass has yet to shake off a knee problem, prompting the Leeds boss to start with Luciano Becchio as a solitary striker in the first two league games.
