Snodgrass, who put Leeds on their way with a 27th-minute opener, said: "It was tough to play at Brighton. But we focused on ourselves and our finishing was clinical.
"A performance like this will take us a long way. We had questions asked of us and we dealt with it.
"It's not easy to stay at the top of the league. It's only November and we need to kick on from here.
"You need to turn it on in games like this and this has to be up there in terms of our best performance."
