Robert Snodgrass urges Leeds supporters to rally behind players
The Yorkshire club are in danger of being dragged into the League One play-off positions for the first time this season following a run of form that has yielded just one win in eight league games since they knocked Manchester United out of the FA Cup. [LNB]Leeds will have a chance to put things right when Oldham head across the Pennines on Tuesday night and, according to Snodgrass, the backing of the home supporters at Elland Road could prove to be crucial. [LNB]"I know the fans are a little frustrated and they want to see us win every game but it doesn't work every game," Snodgrass, 22, said. [LNB]"We're in it together as a club and we need them just as much as they want us to perform. This is a great chance for us to get promoted. [LNB]"We have to give ourselves the best possible chance of achieving promotion. We have a big squad and it's up to us to put things right. [LNB]"Saturday was frustrating and we need to get back to basics. It's up to us do that and realise that we have a good chance of getting promoted, and we have to take it." [LNB]Glasgow-born Snodgrass insisted that his team must re-discover their self-belief in time for Oldham's visit. [LNB]"On Saturday, Norwich dropped points and Colchester and Charlton picked them up, but we are still well placed," he added. "We have to be prepared for Oldham on Tuesday and get in their faces and show them that we have confidence and belief. [LNB]"We are up here on merit and not through luck. It's up to us show them we are Leeds United." [LNB]Snodgrass is still haunted by his performance last week when Leeds lost their unbeaten record in a 2-1 defeat by Walsall. [LNB]"Last Tuesday against Walsall was one of the worst performances I've had for Leeds United and that's not got out of my head," Snodgrass said. "I've always worked hard and tried my best, but for whatever reason it didn't happen against Walsall. [LNB]"The gaffer has made some good decisions this season when we have nicked the points, and I came on and got the goal on Saturday." [LNB]
