QPR Case Date Confirmed

05 April 2011 23:54
QPR will discover their fate regarding the seven transfer irregularity charges on May 6 - the day before their final game of the season against Leeds United. The FA have confirmed an Independent Regulatory Commission will hear the case on May 3. Rangers are confident they will escape with just a fine, rather than a points deduction, which could affect their automatic promotion hopes. The alleged offences relate to the transfer of Alejandro Faurlin in 2009, including the use of an unauthorised agent, while chairman Gianni Paladini and the club are also charged with submitting false documents lodged with the FA when the midfielder signed a contract extension last October.
