Pre-Season Tour Confirmed

Leeds United are heading to Scotland for their pre-season tour with the club confirming details of friendlies at both Falkirk and Motherwell. United will take in a week-long training camp north of the border with their first pre-season game at Scottish First Division side Falkirk on Wednesday, July 13 (7.30pm ko). Leeds will then visit former Bradford boss Stuart McCall’s Premier League outfit Motherwell on Saturday, July 16 (3pm ko). Three previously arranged friendlies with English opposition will then follow with the Whites visiting Rochdale on Tuesday, July 19 (7.30pm ko) and Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, July 23 (1pm ko) before the much awaited game against Newcastle United at Elland Road on Sunday, July 31 (2pm ko). There will also be a mid-week friendly sandwiched between the Owls and Magpies clashes to be confirmed. However, the warm-up will begin in Scotland which will be United’s first mini-tour of the country since the summer of 1984 when Eddie Gray took his squad north of the border for matches against Raith Rovers and St Johnstone. The club is also likely to stage a 'Leeds On The Road' event in the Glasgow area on the Thursday ahead of the Motherwell game.
