Powell arrives but Trundle departs
The 33-year-old centre-back has joined the club on trial and has been training with Simon Grayson's squad at Thorp Arch.
Grayson told the club's website: "Darren has been training with us on a trial basis and we've been having a look at him.
"This is the first reserve game we've had so it's an opportunity for us to take another look."
Meanwhile, striker Lee Trundle has returned to Bristol City after two months on loan at Leeds.
Grayson added: "I'd like to thank him for his efforts and his contribution to the squad."
