Parker makes reserves return

Leeds defender Ben Parker edged closer to a return to first-team football with a successful run-out in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Hull. Left-back Parker missed most of the 2009/10 campaign due to a protracted hip problem and then a calf strain and battled back to full fitness in time for pre-season training only to sustain another long-term injury, this time to his lower leg. Parker played 45 minutes for Leeds' second string in a win over Hull that also featured fellow first-team players Robert Snodgrass, Alex Bruce, Andrew Hughes, Adam Clayton, Jason Crowe and Andy Robinson, who struck the winner with a 40-yard shot.
