Gaetano Berardi set for Leeds return

Leeds defender Gaetano Berardi is hoping to return to the squad for the home game against Wigan.

Berardi has yet to appear for Leeds this season due to a hamstring injury, but the right-back came through an appearance with the Under-23s last week unscathed and is in contention.

Winger Stuart Dallas remains sidelined with the thigh injury that ruled him out of Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Derby and is awaiting scan results to determine the full extent of the problem.

Midfielder Liam Bridcutt (broken metatarsal) will be out until December as Leeds bid for a fifth straight home league win.

Wigan manager Gary Caldwell has reported no new injury concerns ahead of travelling to Yorkshire.

Skipper Craig Morgan returned from a hamstring injury to feature off the bench against Burton on Saturday, though he may have to make do with a spot among the replacements again given Latics have kept back-to-back clean sheets.

Reece Burke (hernia), Kyle Knoyle (elbow), Alex Gilbey (knee and ankle), Donervon Daniels (knee), Andy Kellett (knee) and Reece James (foot) are still out of action but Caldwell is hoping that injury list will decrease in the coming weeks.

Wigan have yet to score a goal this month so top scorer Will Grigg could be back in the XI at Elland Road.
