Hall set for Leeds start

Leeds manager Neil Warnock could hand winger Ryan Hall his first start in the home game with Watford.

Hall, recently signed on loan until January with a view to a permanent transfer, struck four goals this week for the development side in a 5-0 win over Derby and is hoping to add to his solitary appearance off the substitutes' bench in the home defeat to Birmingham.

Leeds will be without defender Tom Lees as he is still suffering from the effects of a stray finger in his eye that forced him out of last week's draw at Brighton, so Lee Peltier is expected to continue alongside Jason Pearce at the heart of defence.

Another defender, Adam Drury, is doubtful due to the knock he sustained late in Tuesday night's defeat at Burnley and Danny Pugh could come into the reckoning if he fails to make it.

Warnock revealed several other members of his squad had been struggling with a virus this week, but were not expected to miss out as Leeds chase their first league win in six matches.

Daniel Pudil is suspended for Watford.

The midfielder had only returned for the last two games against Leicester and Millwall following a previous ban for a sending-off, but he duly picked up his fifth booking of the season against the Lions on Tuesday night and now serves an automatic one-match suspension.

Elsewhere, defender Fitz Hall remains a doubt with the hamstring injury which ruled him out of the goalless draw in midweek.

Captain John Eustace (back), fellow midfielder Prince Buaben (hamstring) and defender Nyron Nosworthy (hamstring) all remain sidelined.

Manager Gianfranco Zola has hinted at rotating his squad and changes could be on the cards at Elland Road, with the likes of Matej Vydra, Mark Yeates, Ikechi Anya and Alex Geijo all in contention.
