Thomas to give Whites options

Leeds look set to welcome back on-loan winger Jerome Thomas for the visit of Ipswich.

The West Brom man missed last week's defeat at Derby with a hamstring injury, but he has trained all week and will come into Neil Warnock's thinking.

Fully-fit El-Hadji Diouf is also due to return to the starting XI after his groin strain restricted him to a substitute's appearance at Pride Park.

Luke Varney, Michael Brown and Jason Pearce are all yet to win back a starting berth following suspension, but they are options should Warnock look to make changes in response to that defeat against the Rams, Leeds' first in four games.

The Elland Road boss has no fresh injury or suspension concerns, although Leigh Bromby, Rodolph Austin, Davide Somma and Ramon Nunez all remain on the sidelines.

Mick McCarthy welcomes back Nigel Reo-Coker to the Ipswich squad.

The Tractor Boys have won their last three games and picked up 16 points out of a possible 24 since the former Wolves boss arrived at Portman Road.

And McCarthy is boosted by the return of Reo-Coker, who missed the three wins with a hamstring problem, should McCarthy wish to make any changes in midfield.

But fellow midfielder Luke Hyam remains sidelined. After returning from a hamstring injury, Hyam was struck down with illness and will not make the trip.

Forward Tyrone Barnett is out for three months with a cruciate ligament injury picked up in training and has returned to parent club Peterborough for his rehabilitation.

Fellow striker Paul Taylor remains out with a foot injury.
