Whites wait on Warnock

Leeds boss Brian McDermott is likely to be without Stephen Warnock for their Capital One Cup clash with Chesterfield.

The left-back limped out of Saturday's opening day win over Brighton and will be assessed ahead of kick-off.

Adam Drury replaced him on the day and could deputise from the start against the Spireites, while Aidan White provides further options at the back.

Fellow full-back Sam Byram remains unavailable due to a hip problem but El Hadji-Diouf is available again following suspension.

Chesterfield will check on defender Liam Cooper.

Cooper missed Saturday's win at Bury with a side strain and will be assessed ahead of kick-off.

Fellow defender Ian Evatt is unlikely to feature as the former Blackpool man continues to build up his fitness following his summer move.

This is the Spireites first meeting with the Whites since they were beaten 4-0 in the third round of this competition in 1960.
