Leeds open Johnson contract talks

Leeds United have opened talks over a new contract with midfielder Bradley Johnson, BBC Radio Leeds understands.The 22-year-old has 18 months left on his current deal at Elland Road. [LNB]But Leeds are keen to reward Johnson for his impressive form, which has seen him score seven goals this season to help the club top League One. [LNB]The left-sided player was brought to the club two years ago from Northampton Town by former boss Gary McAllister and has made 70 appearances. [LNB]
