Leeds drop Beckford contract hint

United's leading scorer is out of contract in the summer and available on a free transfer to interested parties.[LNB]Newcastle and Everton have both been linked with the 26-year-old, although Leeds have yet to accept a deal for his services.[LNB]Grayson accepts is it a challenge to compete with Premier League clubs in terms of contracts, but hints they still have a chance of keeping him on.[LNB]He believes the Elland Road club will be able to offer something more enticing to Beckford should Leeds win promotion.[LNB]Beckford, who scored Leeds' FA Cup winner at Manchester United earlier this month, is expected to lead the line against Spurs at White Hart Lane on Saturday evening.[LNB]"It's difficult for us to compete with Premier League clubs," Grayson told the Daily Express.[LNB]"If we get promoted at the end of the season there's every chance we might make him a new offer.[LNB]"But while Jermaine is here we expect him to be focused and keep doing what he has been doing."[LNB][LNB] Tottenham 1/4, Draw 5/1, Leeds 9/1
