Leeds confident game will go ahead

Leeds "have no reason to believe" their npower Championship clash with Crystal Palace at Elland Road on Saturday will not go ahead as normal. The city of Leeds has been hard hit by the recent snowfall and freezing temperatures but the club has drafted in dozens of extra staff to ensure the stadium and surrounding areas are safe. Chief executive Shaun Harvey said: "Our objective is to ensure that by the close of business on Friday the game will be capable of being staged. We have no reason to believe we will not achieve that. "In the event of overnight snow coming Friday or Saturday then plans are already in place for the areas that have already been cleared to be attended to again so the ground operates in as near a normal manner as possible."
