Killa Keen On Hull

Hull City target Neil Kilkenny is keen on a summer switch to the KC Stadium, according to the player's agent. The 25-year-old midfielder will be available on a free transfer when his Leeds contract expires this month and is currently being courted by a handful of Championship clubs. City boss Nigel Pearson is among the admirers after coaching Kilkenny in the England u-18s set up, and the Tigers' interest has been lodged. "Hull are a club that would appeal to Neil, of course," Kilkenny's agent, Pete Smith told the Hull Daily Mail. "They're a big club that's been in the Premier League. They've touched it and felt it and that's where they want to be again. "There's a good set-up there with very good management. "Neil has worked with Nigel before with England under-18s and knows his knowledge of the game is excellent." An imminent exit from Elland Road comes after he failed to agree terms on a new deal last month, triggering interest from the likes of Ipswich, Nottingham Forest and Bristol City. The Tigers are among the front-runners for Kilkenny's signature and can expect news next week. "Hull are one of the clubs to have been in contact but nothing has been firmed up as yet," he added. "Neil came back to England on Monday (from international duty with Australia) and we'd hope to have something confirmed in the next week or so. "Neil wants to get his future sorted quickly and we're in that process of talking to clubs now."
