Kandol relishing new start

Former Leeds striker Tresor Kandol has revealed he did not hesitate in accepting the offer of a fresh start in Spanish football with Albacete. The 29-year-old, who agreed to terminate his contract at Elland Road earlier this summer, has accepted a one-year deal with the Segunda Liga side. Kandol told Alabacete's official website: "The reason I'm here is I have had a few options with different clubs in England, and when I had an opportunity to come to Spain, I didn't think twice. I thought it was time for me to move on and help the team here. "I watch a lot of Spanish football and I've always enjoyed it and I wanted to be a part of it and bring what I can bring to the team. "I don't know much about the team, but I've tried to find out the history of the club and I saw them play in La Liga a few years ago. I want to be part of us going up."
