Higgs to keep gloves

Shane Higgs is expected to keep his place between the sticks when Leeds travel to Barnsley. Higgs made his first Championship start of the season during Saturday`s 2-1 home win over Swansea after first choice Kasper Schmeichel was ruled out with a foot injury. He should keep the gloves despite the arrival of Jason Brown on loan from Blackburn. Lloyd Sam replaced Sanchez Watt early in the second half against the Swans and will be eager to start as will Ross McCormack following two substitute appearances since his arrival from Cardiff. Fellow new signings Ramon Nunez and Amdy Faye will be hoping to make the squad and Mike Grella, Jason Crowe and Leigh Bromby are all expected to push for places in the match-day party.
