Leeds are continuing to monitor the shin injury which has sidelined new signing Billy Paynter. Manager Simon Grayson has denied reports claiming Paynter had sustained a fracture during the recent friendly win against MFK Kosice, but the former Swindon striker faces a race to be fit for the start of the season "Contrary to the different reports I've heard, Billy has not broken one or both his legs," Grayson told the club's official website. "He took a kick on the shin in Slovakia and he has missed games as a precaution. "It's something we're assessing on an ongoing basis and we'll see how things go."
