Grayson set to swoop again

Manager Simon Grayson is planning on adding an eighth new face to his Leeds squad before Saturday's season-opener with Derby. Grayson signed Ipswich's Alex Bruce on Friday but the defender may not be his last acquisition as he prepares to face the Rams with a number of absentees. Winger Robert Snodgrass is to have a scan on Monday to determine how long his knee injury will rule him out for while Max Gradel and Davide Somma are suspended for the first four and three games of the season respectively. With new striker Billy Paynter also out with a shin injury, Grayson is on the lookout for a new forward before the Elland Road meeting with the Rams. He said: "Snoddy has another scan when we will find the severity of his injury. If Snoddy is going to be out for a long time we will go out and get someone. "We're ahead of the game in that respect and we have someone lined up who may come in early this week."
