Grayson hails match-winner Howson

Howson made his first start under Grayson in last week's defeat at Hereford and more than justified the manager's decision to retain the 20-year-old midfielder in his side for the timely win over Cheltenham with two goals for the Whites.[LNB]Grayson said: "He's done well since I've been here. He made some excellent runs in the first half, he got into the box and he passed the ball and ran well and didn't get the breaks in front of goal.[LNB]"Maybe another type of player would have hidden, but he showed what he is about. The timing of his runs and the service and delivery for his two goals was excellent from Fab (Delph) and Andy Robinson and he took them really well and I'm delighted for him.[LNB]"The lad has been patient and waited for his opportunity. I've only been able to pick 11 players and five subs and he's been in my 16 most of the time. He's affected the game's when he's come on.[LNB]"He used the ball ever so well and he used his energy levels to break into the box. I'm not sure how many goal attempts he had, but it must be in double figures and for a midfield player to do that is great because if you've got a midfield player running into the box with energy and desire it's hard to mark sometimes."[LNB][LNB]
