Leeds boss Simon Grayson insists his former Elland Road team-mate Gordon Strachan can handle the mounting pressure after Middlesbrough's latest defeat.
United ran out 2-1 winners at the Riverside thanks to goals from Davide Somma and Luciano Becchio either side of Kris Boyd's strike.
"Yes Gordon is under pressure but he is tough," said Grayson. "He's a fighter, he was as a player and he is as a manager. He can handle it.
"Middlesbrough may be having a tough time right now but they have some every good players and I'm sure Gordon will get them playing as a unit and getting the results they need to get out of this situation."
